Behind the flying dragons and kung fu fighting pandas are the combined talents of DreamWorks Animation’s award-winning engineers, filmmakers, and artists. Together, they collaborate to create the tools needed for one of the most complex digital manufacturing process in the world: making a computer-generated (CG) animated movie. To build and animate the many assets required for one movie requires a tremendous amount of technological resources including half a billion digital files, over 350 terabytes of storage and up to 80 million render hours.

In order to meet the demand of incredible computing power, DreamWorks Animation relies on Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, their preferred technology partner, to support the studios’ movie production, digital infrastructure, and business divisions. This collaboration has successfully enhanced artist creativity while providing fans with world-class movie experiences that push the boundaries of digital animation.
